Aegis is an educational portfolio risk dashboard for iPhone and iPad. It applies institutional risk frameworks — macro regime detection, stress tests, correlation analytics — to your personal portfolio.

After installation, complete the three-screen onboarding. On the last screen, tap Try with Sample Portfolio to populate the app with a diversified demo set so all five analytics tabs (Portfolio, Macro, Correlation, Stress, Alerts) render immediately. You can replace these holdings with your own positions at any time from the Portfolio tab.
Yes. If you are signed in to the same Apple ID on iPhone and iPad, your portfolio syncs automatically through your private iCloud account. There is no separate Aegis account. Sign out of iCloud in iOS Settings if you want to disable sync.
Live market data is fetched from Finnhub, Yahoo Finance, NASDAQ, and the Federal Reserve (FRED) through a backend that caches responses to avoid API rate limits. Crypto prices use Yahoo Finance pairs (BTC-USD, ETH-USD). Options use NASDAQ with Massive.com as a backup source.
US options exchanges provide retail quotes with a 15-minute delay. This is a regulatory restriction across the entire industry, not specific to Aegis.
The Macro tab classifies the current market environment into one of six regimes: Crisis · Stress · Late Cycle · Neutral · Risk-On · Recovery. The classifier uses net liquidity, credit spreads, VIX, and the yield curve. These labels are educational descriptions of macro conditions, not trading recommendations.
